Jovanna heard the cage’s door slam with a loud clang, the small cat wincing slightly. Her leg ached, several deep claw marks dripping crimson. She noticed a large black cat looking over his shoulder at her. Clearing her throat, she fought back tears. “Where am I?” She asked, the other cat rolling over to ignore her. Hot tears escaped and fell down her face, limping into a corner to lay down. She could only think of Mattias’ face, how broken he looked as she was snatched away from him.
