Personality:

Reserved: “I don’t like to talk about it.”
Nut isn’t a fan of sharing his feelings, and often won’t. Frankie and Nightingale are the only ones who know how to get him to spill. He often doesn’t share his opinion either, usually to avoid conflict. To keep from others prying, he’ll often change the subject. His favorite excuse is to talk about his father.

Kind: “Happy to help.”
Nuthatch isn’t the type to be always smiling, but he’s a happy guy. He likes to help others find things, though doesn’t get food for strangers. He mostly helps family, as that’s all he really knows. He’s soft spoken, but gets rowdy when playing. Don’t mistake his kindness for naivety.

Defensive: “Back off!”
Nut doesn’t like strangers. Unless you know his mother or older brother, he’s quick to become aggressive. Being raised in a small group with few new faces, he’s not used to being friendly towards those he doesn’t know. Which makes his role as a warrior all the more fitting. If you don’t belong here, he’ll chase you off.

Loyal: “I won’t leave you.”
Family means everything to Nuthatch. He would do anything for his family. Especially his sisters, whom he’s very protective of. He usually takes their sides in arguments, though tries not to butt in to much. He’s a no man left behind kinda cat.

Friendly: “Hey, come chill with us!”
He loves to socialize, once he gets comfortable with you that is. He loves talking about different types of rocks, birds, and even some bugs. He often gifts pretty rocks to his family, and the occasional good looking beetle. Though some don’t care for beetles, his gifts are usually adored. On rare occasions, he brings back bird feathers, which they all enjoy.

History:

Born to Frankie and Phillip, in a litter of six he tries not to stand out. Some of his louder siblings do that enough. He doesn’t mind though, he has his loud moments too. He spends his days close to his family, certain they will protect him. He can’t wait to be old enough to protect them too. Although often bored, he listens to his mother. That is, until things in their home turned upside down. He wasn’t sure what was happening, he just knew he was scared. Their mother scrambled to move them as fast as she could. He was old enough to move himself, being an older apprentice at the time. All his mother would say was they couldn’t stay here anymore. They traveled far, for what felt like many months. By the time they got close to their destination, he’s a young adult. He sticks close to his brothers, Nightingale and Viburn, finding them to be good company. Though he enjoys his sisters’ company, they just have different interests. Becoming a warrior of the rogue faction, he was determined to fend off any threats. Though a familiar stranger was due to visit.
