Finch woke, groggy and aching. It was as if she had been asleep for decades. "Guys??" she said, now almost fully conscious. She had a burning feeling in her chest. It wasn't painful, but it felt warm.

"You're awake!" Simon chimed.

"How long was I asleep?" she groaned, her head pounding.

"Only a few minutes." he said.

Finch looked around, wondering where on earth they were. "Where are we?"

"I'm not sure.." Amanda said, clutching her chest. She looked almost ill. "How're we gonna get home?" she said, looking at the rest of the group.

"There's only one way we can find out." Simon said, standing and looking toward a corridor.

"Oh no! We're not going out there." Lizzie said.

"Why not?" he said, frowning at her.

"You've got us into enough mess!" she barked.

"Well.. I.." he hesitated for a moment. "What are we going to do? Just sit around here all day until someone finds us? Because no one went looking for those missing kids! How do we know that they won't do the same for us?" he scoffed.

"I.." she avoided eye contact for a moment, her eyes glossy with tears.

"Look.." he sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine.. I shouldn't have yelled at you in the first place."

"Hey.. guys? Back to the problem at hand. How are we going to get out of here?" Amanda pointed out.

"I think we should go look around." Finch squeaked.

"Yeah, we should.." said Lizzie.

"Alright, let's go." Simon said.

They all stood, and wandered through the corridor. They seemed to be in a ancient underground building.

"Hey, this feels like we're in an Indiana Jones movie!" Amanda said, looking around inquisitively.

"I suppose, yeah." said Finch, clutching her overalls.

All of a sudden, there was a groaning sound from a passageway in front of them. They couldn't see anything, as it was too dark. Simon pulled out his phone, and put on the torch.

"Hello?" said Finch, but was cut off when a hand covered her mouth.

"Shh! Don't you watch horror movies? Never say 'Hello'!" Simon hissed. He stepped into the passage, and it led to another room. There were vines, and foliage that you wouldn't expect to be underground. There was also a single flower in the middle of a grassy patch, that seemed to have light beaming onto it from somewhere. It had five multicoloured petals, one sky blue, one emerald green, one lilac, one pastel yellow, vibrant purple, and a single green leaf coming off the stem, it was swaying slightly too.

"Phew! It's alright guys, it's nothing." Simon called.

The four other children stepped into the room.

"Aww! What a pretty flower!" Finch said, rushing towards it. She slowed down once she noticed something about it, and shrieked, falling back a bit. "What is that?!"

"It's a Flower, Finch. Nothing to get worked up about." comforted Simon.

"Howdy!" came another voice, that none of them recognised.

They all flinched, and looked towards where it was coming from. It was the flower, but now it had a face. It was smiling widely, and almost creepily.

"Who.. what are you?" Simon said, feeling surprisingly calm.

"I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower!"

They all chuckled, which the flower didn't seem to notice.

"You're new around here, aren't cha? Golly, you must be so confused!" he cooed.

"Mr. Flowey?" said Finch, who was still uneasy about the fact that a flower can talk. "Where are we?"

"Why, you're in the Underground, of course!" he said, still wearing that same smile.

"Oh, well. Maybe you could help us get out?"

"Of course! But first, I need to teach all of you how things work around here!"

"How things work?" Simon repeated.

"Mhm! You're probably going to need some LOVE, and for that, you're going to need to learn how to get LOVE." Flowey said. With that, the room went dark, and five coloured hearts appeared in front of the five children. Each had a particular colour. Simon's being a sky blue, Lizzie's being a lime green, Finch's being beige yellow, and Amanda's being a bright magenta. It was weird that they sort of represented Flowey's petals.

"Okay! You're going to need to know how to get strong. See those hearts? They're your SOULs; each have a particular use. But for now, you're going to need to gather LOVE. You want some, right?" Flowey asked.

They all nodded, except for Lillie, who still hadn't a SOUL in front of her. Flowey didn't seem to notice her, though.

"Good! Okay, run around and catch all the little Friendliness Pellets." he winked, as a few white dots appeared around him. All the children, except Lillie, ran around and grabbed onto a pellet. They all felt a large jolting pain in their chest once they made impact.

Flowey's mouth had now distorted into a demonic looking smile. "You IDIOTS!" he hissed. "Do you REALLY think I would pass up an opportunity like THIS?! Four SOULs?!" he cackled, as a ring of bullets surrounded the SOULs. "DIE." the bullets closed in slowly, as he laughed maniacally. All of a sudden, a neon yellow 'flame' appeared out of nowhere, and it smacked Flowey across the face. It didn't burn him though, it merely charred the side of his face. He growled, and he seemed to 'reverse grow', his 'head' going into the ground last.

"What a miserable creature.. torturing such poor, innocent youths." a soft voice cooed, as the children's SOULs disappeared and the room went to it's normal lighting. As the children saw who said those comforting words, their stomachs tugged a little. A six foot, white, goat-dog-looking monster, with a pale yellow robe draped around her, almost like a dress. "Ah, do not be afraid, my children." she continued, obviously seeing they were afraid. "I am Toriel, caretaker of the RUINs."

"So that's where we are.." marvelled Simon, looking around curiously.

"Indeed, small one." Toriel said, kneeling in front of the group. "Now, you may want to follow me. The other monsters may not be as gentle as myself."

"Where are we going?" Lizzie queried.

"To my home." she said, standing and turning toward the entrance on the opposite side of the room.

"Well.. we've got nothing better to do." Amanda said, kicking the ground.

By this time, everyone knew that most things weren't right, and that they had no choice. No choice but to go anywhere but forward.
