All animals displayed a silent fondness for her, and she would hide scraps of bread from her breakfast to feed to the birds. One particularly beautiful bird showed her great affection and eventually everywhere she went the bird would follow. People began to call her Lady Bird in mockery but she wasn't at all displeased by the name.

This is really really pretty! I adore the dress and hair. It's so 18th century, and what could be better than that I wonder. I'm suck a sucker for rococo clothing, so this drawing is like a dream.
Also the colors you've chosen for this particular drawing are so perfect together!The umbrella is so pretty, and so are the feathers in her hair.

I think she turned out gorgeous, and I love that title. Lady Bird, it fits so well The anatomy and coloring looks great. And the lacy fringe reminds me of bird feathers, which seems really fitting with the title. As far as the dress design goes, I'm not sure how historically accurate you were trying to be, so I'll just try to highlight some things you might want to watch out for next time. Paniers on formal court dresses normally came out more. On some dresses they came out further than a woman could stretch out her arms @___@ The other thing I noticed was the shape of the corset. The 18th century corset was shaped like a cone. Women wore corsets since they were little girls, so they shaped their bodies over time. So, her body should be a bit more triangular... I guess. I don't really know how to describe it. And the lacing on the front of the corset isn't something you really see in court dress. Later 18th cnetury corsets usually had fancy lace designs instead. But those are the only things that really stand out. And, like I said before, I don't know how accurate you were trying to be. If you need good reference material in the future, just see the Historical Clothing Links that I always keep at the bottom of my journal^^

Thanks so much for your sweet comment!! <3 I deffinatly wasn't trying to be historically accurate on her dress. I was actually even trying to give this pic a slightly modern vibe. I refrenced a portrait of a woman: [link] but I did change it up and add my own flare. Thanks for your insight into how court dresses really were, though! I find it all very intriguing. Thanks also for your suggesting to look at your "historical clothing links"! Those were very fun to browse through.

Thanks! It's not really a picture of Marie Antoinette but I do belive she was one the who started the Rococo fashion period of huge fancy dresses and crazy big hair with lots of decorative things in it.
