The new trailer was released a couple days ago, and most of us noticed Astrid's hold on Hiccup's braid as she spoke with him. [link]
So now I have a baby headcanon that she tugs that braid when she wants him to sit put and pay attention. She just grabs a hold of it and doesn’t let go until she gets her point across. In the most loving way, that is.

Yes it is although it kind of got ruined for me since I watched "This Is the End" later that night and well if you havent seen it let me just say this, the guy that plays Hiccups voice is in it and watching it and hearing Hiccups voice messed with me. Bad.

I believe he's 19/20, since it was confirmed he was 14/15 in the first movie by the makers.

YEah, a lot of people are saying it was Astrid. And I kinda like it, but at the same time, I'm really into it being him putting them there. Like… a little tribute to the braids in his father's beard. He may not want to follow in his father's footsteps just yet, but he does his own little gesture to show his father he still admires him.
