Suran is not the only sun that Ajjamah has to warm itself with. There are actually two other stars, but one, Mata, is a little too far away to provide much energy, magical or otherwise. The other, Kasar, varies of a period of around 85 and a half local years (or about 53 Terran years), going from as bright as Sol from Neptune to Sol from Saturn. To get this bright, it has to get quite close–and close it gets, as little as 5.3AU. This has stripped away most of the material that scattered during the early years of the solar system, but it's managed to preserve planets that are still quite far away–so long as they don't bump into their neighbours around the other sun.
The furthest planet from Suran is Vyapa, circling in a rather eccentric loop at 3.5 AU away from Suran. It's the only gas giant in orbit around Suran, and one of two in the binary system (the other being Gunavar, in orbit around Kasar). Vyapa has a grand total of twenty-five moons, but only eleven have become apparent to the civilizations on Ajjamah right now (except for the Finders, of course, but given that they're able to sense the distance of faraway stars to the metre if they try it's kind of cheating). Four of these are large enough to potentially support humans in the future, protected by the Vyapa's magnetic field…
