When I first saw this new legendary pokemon, my first thoughts were, "Oh my goodness, what an elegant-looking pokemon!" And then I did a double-take when I saw that ungodly, disgusting unnecessary crotch-fluff between it's legs. This would be the most beautiful of all pokemon if it weren't for that dumb crotch fluff. WHY?! I swear, I didn't even laugh. I just raised an eyebrow and went... "great, more stupid phallic imagery. What a waste." Regardless, I really think Reshiram is pretty. I thought the same thing! I was going to buy a Reshiram plush at the black and white tour that came to my town, but when I saw it's crotch I instead bought Zerkom. I still liked the design overall, so I bought the two mini figurines of both the new legendary.

reshiram is so beautiful...I absolutely LOVE the pose you used...so beautiful. Reshi is shaping up to be my fav legendary of all time aside from his hideous crotch thing...its funny as hell, don't get me wrong, but come on. Palkia should've been the end of the phallic lulz in pokey designs, especially for a pokemon looking THIS FREAKING GORGEOUS!!

Oh I see. Yeeeaah not worth a fuss to be honest, it's so tiny it doesn't look as phallic. Reshiram's on the other hand is so out there and noticeable, people would be quicker to assume that it is phallic.

I agree. I thought the crotch thing was totally uncalled for :/. I mean, I didn't really mind how the fishermen in R/S/E wanted long barboach and big shroomish, even blaziken's crotch fluff wasn't that bad, but reshiram is just too far >__>.

Personally, I don't really consider it crotch fluff. Well, it looks like it's in the place where it'd have a crotch, I won't deny that but...it's just too point for crotch fluff. I dunno, since Pokemon don't have genetals that you can see, and since legendaries don't breed anyway, they'd have nothing there...maybe Scizor lopped it off, or something.
Me thinks it's just pervy. 'Zomg, crotch fluff' and all. The interets, it's warped al your minds to see dirty things.
Although in some ways, since you mentioned phalic symbols, if they're the yi-yang Pokemon, and sice Zekron would make a bit of a weird lady, if Reshiram is meant to be 'female', then won't it just be pretty much gelled-up vagina hair?

Yeah! It's like I told another user... it's all psychological. I noticed it because I don't have a pure of mind like other people might, but I still find it distasteful for a pokemon (speaking of which, what do you see in this illusion; dolphin or lovers? Warning... may be too graphic, I'm just posting it here for educational purposes [link] If you see dolphins, you're supposedly pure of mind). It doesn't look like genitals, but the fact that it's in an area where genitals should be... I have my standards! And more or less personal tastes. And that's pretty much why I blew a fat gasket over it. XD And I suppose I'll start seeing it that way too... just another addition Reshiram has, something not meant to be sexual in any way.

Not a problem. From that picture, I honestly can't see ay dolphins, just lovers, I suppose. Granted, I find things like this funny, when some people (not yourself by your reply) blow it out of proportion.
To be honest, Disney is a bit notorious for sexy symbols in its film productions, such as havig phalic-like objects appearing around. I mean, if you ever heard of the crazy frog, I remember in the UK that after a period of time, some-one caught on that it's penis was being flaunted on tv. Course then with the censor bar, everyone was like OMG A PENIS LOL.
Personal standards are one thing, but I don't think Nintendo totally go out of their way to be pervy, since they seem to be totally 'kid friendly'. Of course I suspect every once in a while, they might just think *snicker* and insert some random pun into their work.
I noticed a few of the comments, about them being like Digimon, and in some ways the legeds may be more detailed and possibly worked on than previous legendaries, but then unlike Digimon, they don't look at all threatening. Since Zekron looks part mecha, and has a turbine for a tail, it'd make sense for it's design, and the whole 'man-made' feel of it. Reshiram on the other hand, just seems to be more natural. Graceful, as you put it. I think we can both agree that Sugimori/that Pokemon artist guy must know what he's doing, as I suspect these designs were being worked on years ago. In some ways, when people say they're not 'real' Pokemon, it's a bit of a bad statement to make, when the guy who created it has the say on what is and isn't a 'real' Pokemon.
