Description

Starting in 5th edition of Warhammer 40.000, Dark Angels always had an extra codex. This was great, because of the special Deathwing and Ravenwing companies, but also hard, as vanilla Space Marines got their tanks cheaper. So picking any non-Dark Angels HQ was never that good as it was, most of the time, more expensive in points value. Still, I liked the model and was in the process of creating a reasonable pile of Deathwing Terminators and Knights, so I bought this guy.

Like a lot of stuff, I bought this, built it, but then I was too afraid to mess up the paintjob.

Around came 9th edition and Dark Angels are no longer on their own, but part of the Space Marine codex. We still got a supplement for all the awesome stuff, so I knew I had to finish this guy. Painting the armor blue felt weird, as I was never a fan of Ultramarines. But the codex says, Librarians wear blue, so he was made blue. The shoulderpad is green, as I found a picture like that in an older codex. No bone white there. But the robes are, so he still fits in well in a Deathwing detachment.
