Not long has passed since Kasi became a part of my family. She quickly became a favorite among the pride and I occasionally wondered if my friends would come by my den to see me or to see Kasi. It is a breezy day as I lay underneath my favorite tree with Kasi sleeping peacefully in my paws.
           A roar breaks me from my thoughts as I recognize it to be my mother’s. I gently scoop Kasi up and run towards the roar. The last time she roared like this was for Kasi, I think to myself as I run. As I get closer to my den, I notice a familiar white lioness standing with my parents and the king and queen. I approach a sort of circle they’ve formed and see two cubs at the center of the circle. One is a little girl who looks about Kasi’s age and the other is a boy who seems to be a little bit older. I gently set Kasi next to my paw and ask, “What’s going on?”
           Aria looks over at me, “These two cubs were brought to me by a rogue male. He didn’t say much about them other that they were siblings. I know you guys just took in Kasi and going from an adolescent to an adolescent and three small cubs is a lot to handle. The only reason I bring them to you is because you were the closest family I knew to ask and traveling would be difficult with them being so young.” Aria looks anxiously between my parents before glancing down at the two cubs huddled next to each other.
           My parents both look at each other before my mother nods, “We’ll take them in. I’m sure it would be nice for Kasi to have siblings closer to her age to play with and I know Aasim has always wanted a son.” She glances at my dad before she crouches down to be at face level with the cubs, “Hi there.” She pauses before looking back up at Aria, “What are their names?”
           Aria smiles, “The male is Omari and the female is Amara.”
           My dad crouches down next to my mom, “Well, Omari and Amara, meet your new family.” I crouch down too as Omari smiles, maybe getting some understanding of what was happening. Amara, being too young to understand, looks a little bewildered as Kasi wobbles over to her and gently bops her nose. Amara giggles as she bops Kasi’s nose back.
           “I think the girls are going to be very close,” my mom smiles as she watches them.
           “It’ll be like having twins,” my dad chuckles.
           Omari tilts his head at me as he cautiously inches closer, “Who you?” he mumbles.
           “Hi Omari,” I smile at him, “I’m Zara. I’m your new big sister.”
           “Ara!” he squeals as he comes over and curls up next to me.
           “I think someone seems to be liking her big sister role,” Queen Angela says as I look up to her and nod with a smile.
           “It’s nice to have some young ones in the pride again,” King Theodore states. “All the other youngsters aren’t so young anymore.” He chuckles before looking at Aria, “Thank you for bringing these cubs to our pride. I know this family is grateful to have some extra love to share.”
           “My pleasure, Your Majesty,” Aria smiles. She looks up at my parents, “I know that three little ones is a lot, especially being thrown at you like this. I know you had already sent a bird with your final decision to keep Kasi, but if there is any reason you can’t handle these two, send a bird and I’ll find them a new home. Just please let me know within a month.” My parents nod as Aria turns to walk off.

           I finally lay down in the grass as Omari plays with the grass between my paws and the girls continue to bop each other’s noses. My parents sit beside us and chuckle watching them. Never could I have imagined being a big sister to one cub, let alone three. But never have I been happier in all my life and I am grateful to these little bundles for that.
