Athena Pallas, Hellenic Goddess of War, Wisdom and Handicrafts, Patron of Justice and Democracy

I drew a rough for this last year, just a few doodles of my idealised interpretation of the character i.e imagining her as strong, tall, intelligent, good with animals etc. But I was dissatisfied and left it until earlier this year. By the time I got to painting it, I started looking into bringing a more baroque style to my painting, which has mostly come out with the central figure being in chiaroscuro.
