Frankly, I'm surprised not to have seen any of these on Deviantart yet. The concept behind this is, of course, rooted in the many HunterXWitch pairing there are online. Well, what would happen if the Survivors killed the Hunter? My idea is that the Witch would don her fallen love's jacket, and hunt down those who killed him.

No, that's a completely different story. (Which isn't TOO far off logic, seeing as they're zombies but not actually the dead kind.)

Hm. It raises an interesting question, though. CAN the infected breed? A lot of fancomics and fanfiction (As well as art) seems to lead us to the fact that they CAN have intercourse. Why not kids? O_o

I don't believe I've ever read anywhere that they CAN'T breed, but I think it's heavily implied that they can not. The female body, after begin infected, is probably incapable of producing offspring anymore.
Actually, one rumor is that the Spitter WAS pregnant when she was infected, and that's why she's the way she is now, with the belly and the dealy spit and all. I'm not to big on believing this entirely, but it does actually bring up a point as to why she's mutated that way.
