"i remember the way i used to be.""yeah?"
"yeah. i was the girl who whispered into your shoulder blades that you needed to stay. i was the one who made maps and built automobiles attempting to take me to impossible places like in your arms. i was the lazy one and you'd always inform me when local bands put new songs on their myspaces. now i have to check for myself, and i usually dont remember to do it. i was the one who introduced ants to ant traps, rats to rat poison, and hearts to you.
i remember our plan."
"yeah?"
"yeah, the one when we'd walk through that big forest and come out smelling like evergreen and love or sweat and the making of love, the one where you'd drop me off in the plate tectonics because i missed our earthquakes -- i missed shaking in your lap.
i remember your parents faces."
"yeah?"
"yeah. i remember how your parents never particularly liked me because of who i was friends with and because i did drugs and because they always saw you crying and they always knew it was because of me. i remember how you let everyone else's opinions matter more than the feelings of your own heart.
i remember the day you stopped caring."
"yeah?"
"yeah. it was pretty much the worst fml for me. remember how you always tried to fit in small places like boxes and cupboards? remember how i never joined you? it was because the only small space i ever wanted to fit into was inside your heart. but you dont remember that do you?"
"no."
"no, i didnt think so."

i love how sometimes the words that are the least. poetic? (i mean, it's great writing, but it's not like "ohmygod, the imagery is so wonderful" or "this so wonderfully quirky or original" to me) leave the biggest and most important impression on you.

Two little things;
What does "fml" stand for?
And, "the feelings of your own heart" is a slightly clumsy phrase which I feel clashes with the eloquence of the rest of the piece.
Other than that, it's brilliant (which is a word I've been using a lot about your work, but I think that it doesn't matter, because I mean it).
