dust and ash amidst
his fury of knowledge and passionate consumtion
knowing knowledge
believing truth
with all his life he wrote
he wrote all his life
all his life, he wrote
its meaning scratched and scattered on the walls
the floor held him to the earth
but his head reached into heaven
surpassing the sky
arithmatic
   acrobatic
      jealous
         emphatic
emphasizing this envious trapeze of science
functioning only on the flips he extravagently coveted
with his head
his heart
and his hands
dancing across the walls
of his peers minds
formulate the problem
