this is my new desktop, I'm running #!CRUNCHBANGLINUXThe settings took forever to get right... like Conky, getting it to stay on the desktop without messingup was a pain. and getting Tint2 configured right took some time. But overall I seem to like #!CRUNCHBANGLINUX better than ubuntu, only because its simple and to me it just seems cleaner. Allthough most settings are done through the terminal, witch ya get useto and also looks kinda cool.

Do you have true transparency?
And have you xcompmgr running or a different composite manager?
Wanna try #! and openbox next time (I still made a few experiences with Fluxbox and xcompmgr slows down my system - damn ATi drivers!)
