I have this specific concept in one of my AU's, Bedlam AU, where Shadow is actually Maria Robotnik just her consciousness transferred into a new vessel. This piece was to explore Maria's design in said AU (with a bit of the AU's design for Shadow but not really the main focus).I also had a lot of fun tying in the planets from Sonic Colors. Bedlam AU's solar system is a sloppy mess & I just find it the funniest thing.
