woo yeah new up-to-date sona ref! she hasn't really had a design overhaul since the last time i drew a sort-of reference for her, but some specific details have changed or been added. definitely felt like this was overdue. i went hardcore perfectionist on this and redrew her face like 5 times, then made sure every single line was the perfect curve... im satisfied enough, now. i would've added an outfit section or something, but decided that just saying she had "mom fashion" got the point across lmao. i can't imagine i'll be needing to make a new ref for a long while; i think i've settled on a design i really like! at most, i'll just have to make a few edits. will probably get around to making refs for some of my other sonas sooner or later, now.

notes on drawing her:
ive found that her "snout" size is mostly proportional to how realistic vs cartoony she appears. in general, her face shape is like, totally up to style. for example, one of my partners got a commission of us together, and the artist drew her with more realistic human head proportions. it looked really cute! im not great at human style heads though (which is why all of my characters have varying levels of snooter), so i have thus far struggled to recreate that in my own style. and any body type goes! really the only reason she has any sort of shapeshifting is so i can change her body type based on my mood lol. i didn't draw her lower legs cuz i didnt Feel Like It, but she just has normal legs and human feet. nothin special
