He is always prepared to protect people and relics from danger.While on a secret mission into Digimon troll territory, Astroblastmon landed on a remote island, where he stumbled upon an ancient relic not seen for thousands of years - a legendary Rift Engine. These magical machines were believed to have the power to travel through portals between Digi Skylands and other worlds! Shortly after the discovery, an army of troll Digimon appeared at the top of a nearby canyon and quickly advanced towards Astroblastmon. Knowing that the Rift Engine would be very dangerous in the wrong hands, he drew his pulse laser and prepared to defend the relic against the approaching horde. After an epic shootout, the trolls fled in defeat. When Astroblastmon brought the relic back to his ship, the SunRunnermon, it grew in power and a hologram of Master Eonmon appeared. Eonmon thanked him for saving the Rift Engine and motioned for him to return it to Skylander Academy. Astroblastmon accepted the invitation and soon after became a Skylander Digimon.
