Description
Brego ("chief, leader, king, lord", Rohirric) was born in TA 2512. He took the throne following his father Eorl's death in TA 2545 as Rohan's second king. During his rule the migration of the Éothéod to Calenardhon continued, and Brego defended the borders of Rohan against the Dunlendings and Easterlings, and drove off the Wold the remaining Orcs and Balchoth (Easterlings serving Dol Guldur). He then began to build Meduseld, and made Edoras the capital of his realm. Brego had three sons: Baldor, Aldor and Eofor. Following the unexpected death of his eldest son, Brego died of grief a year later, in TA 2570 after having ruled for 25 years.
