Type description

Xulinaieth-shen has an innate connection with the ocean. She can sense water from miles away, and has the power to shape it into barriers and wards. She can also breathe underwater and swim faster than one would expect. Due to her ghostly lineage, she can easily walk through walls. Disappearing from sight, she has the capability to possess enemies and turn their own minds against them. Instead of the fire abilities that a Ceruledge would have, Xulinaieth-shen has a dark connection to her master Mewtwo. She can't match up to him in terms of power, but there are eldritch secrets that she can exploit. Little is known about these unique abilities, but they may give rise to greater horrors.

Her name means "dying dawn" in the Amteshken language. The original form of this word would be something like *koul-im-aet in the ancestor of all Chimeradian languages.
The first part is the root xul(a) meaning "death, dead". The in part is a gerund suffix. The second part is the root aie(d) meaning "dawn, sunrise, morning". This part of the root can be written as aied, aiedh, or aieth.
It's the same root that makes up the first half of Aiedaeil's name, but there it is spelled aied. The difference is that his name does actually vary in orthography (aiedheil, aiethail, aiedail, etc.), while Xulinaieth-shen stays pretty much constant.
The shen part is a honorific suffix. This suffix in particular denotes an individual of high status that has passed away. It is believed that forgetting the suffix angers the spirit mentioned. As such, she always expects the suffix to be included when speaking with comrades.

By the way, it's pronounced [zʊlɪnæθ ʃɛn] (or if you can't IPA, ZOL-in-aþ SHEN) For reference, Aiedaeil's name is pronounced [æɪðɑdeɪɫ] (or wiþout IPA, AID-a-dale)
