I have only six songs with the word "Hero" in its title. Of course, I have no songs whatsoever with the word "Villain" anywhere, so who cares?
Anyways, Kim Possible and all that jazz.
I read a fanfiction once where she killed a guy with a gun. That kind of shocked me, 'cause since when does Kim have a gun? But anyhow, it got me thinking. She carries a grappling gun... That could probably kill someone.
Wouldn't that be fun, eh? Seeing Kim Possible kill someone with her grappling gun?
Come on! She could do it... She kicked Shego into an electrical tower, after all... would've killed a normal, non-cartoon-y person... Kim's got an evil streak.
She'd make a great villain.

I just happened to click into this one from another favorites page... It's kinda cool to come across somebody referencing my work. I was about to link in chapter 10 [link] when I saw you pondering about Kim's grappler's lethality, but Skoshi's already given beat me to it.

It's always interesting to see Kim do something she doesn't usually do, or approve of doing. I'd love to see her acting all bad, 'cause she'd probably be really good at it.

It is hard to do, and I can't imagine Kim sustaining "evil" in the way Drakken or Shego could. In a position of power, she might try to micromanage and do unpleasant things, but sincerely believe she was doing it for the best and the good of all... Which tends to turn out even worse that straight-up evil, because when you're "evil," you cynically, consciously know you're doing bad things, but do them anyway. Self-righteous do-gooders are far, FAR more dangerous, because they have no cynicism, perceive no duality. How do you get someone to stop when they believe they are 100% right?
Right, that was a tangent... Anyway, Kim might fit the evil bill in pulses and spurts, when she's been pushed way over the line and retaliates (such as in "So the Drama"), but rage is unsustainable. In my "OLS" story, Kim never becomes fully evil, but from the stress she's put under and the deeds she must perform "in the line of duty," she goes a little off the rails by the end.... and incurs disastrous results because of it.
In my "Extreme Ways" fic [link] , though, I'm trying to make a believable Shego by trying to answer, What would make her evil? And why would she sustain it?

I doubt she could be made "evil" in the "take over the world"-evil kind of way, too, but on a smaller scale, it could work.. I can picture her stealing things, if she'd have to. Maybe.

I've always wondered about that.... The show left that question wide open. You get a clue, from Hego's and Kim's perspective, in "Go Team Go".
Hego: "The more and more we fought evil, the more Shego liked it..."
Ron: "The fighting?"
Kim: "The evil."
But that doesn't explain WHY she left. You don't just go "Oh hey, I like evil now!" It's clear that she doesn't get along with her brothers all the time, but still... You don't just switch from hero to bad guy without a reason.
I'll start reading "Exteme Ways" when I get home. I'm still at work.. Can't be seen reading fanfiction at work!

It IS a little unusual... Kim doesn't usually kill people. The first Kim Possible-story I ever read - and that was way before I actually watched the show (I'd only seen a few episodes) - made that very clear: Kim Possible does not kill. Kinda stuck with me.

That grappling hook to someone's face would definitely deal a lethal blow. You'd think she would have accidentally shot somebody with it by now.

I actually suggested as much to the author of the story, but she hasn't replied. And there's only two chapters of it, so I'm reaaaaaally curious as to why Kim had a gun in the first place. Makes no sense in my head, but if there's a good explanation for it...
