I just really liked it, the sound, the gameplay, the twist, plus I played it on a Christmas in which I was sick so I played the game for hours while shivering in bed with a fever. And yes, Infinite is my most anticipated game of the year. xP
I've played lots of RPGs from Atlus and the guy who has done most of the music for their games did the same music for Catherine and his music is always awesome.
Yeah, the controls for the ps3 demo of the game took getting used, I forgot what button did what and I died a few times in a panic escaping the encroaching boss. D:
Yeah, you've got like a bit of everything which means you're not tied down to one genre and thus you're open to lots of different gameplay styles which is always great. Plus it makes it easier to play with you in a game since you've likely got experience in all game types rather than solely playing only one.

I know that just about every animation student plays video games (well, at least half of us), and of course all of the game art students play video games avidly. Then there are gamers in the other majors so... Yeah. It's hard to find someone who doesn't play games I think, unless you look. Granted, they might not play avidly...

Well the ps2 has their biggest collection I think with for me personally, Persona 4 being my favorite. Though Persona 3 was also really good. I'd say youtube a video of the gameplay to see whether you'd like it, it ain't for everyone but P4 is definitely on my top 5 RPG list. xP

I really wish the Mario series would have a bit of a grander scale for its world. Like have the usual enemies but kind of make it like Mario RPG, there were multiple races and kingdoms in that world, maybe Daisy could be a different princess to a different group of toads?

Yes, I turn into a huge fangirl. I do kind of get a bit obsessive over Portal, Minecraft, and the Saints Row series, but not as much as I do to this one sound novel series. It's not really a game, per se. I mean, you spend most of your time reading it and trying to figure out what's going on, but I adore it.

It's weird. Sometimes it gets a little cold on a cloud covered day. It hasn't been raining, and hell, it's the beginning of summer. Suddenly, hail?! What?! And the sandstorm thing was completely random. We were driving home from our cousin's place and were at a stop light when a whole cloud of sand just obscured everything for, like, twenty seconds. Well P4 is definitely a huge game considering how much stuff they've done with the series. There's the original ps2 game, a remake coming out for the Vita, an anime series, a live action play coming out based on the game and now a fighting game that takes place a few months after the story ends. @__@
I don't know how many ninja turtles I actually have, bought a lot when I was a kid, haven't seen them in a long time. >__<

They live in the mushroom kingdom right? Then why is that kingdom always in a different place with different everything around it? Some continuity would be nice. Ha! I actually hate that a lot too, but the thing that usually seals the deal for me is the color scheme and the bgm. If the bgm stinks, then I can hate everything about an ice level pretty easily, though I haven't seen many cases of that.

As a matter of fact, I've never really heard of the term 'sound novel' until I got around to this particular series and I don't really understand the difference between them. All I know is, visual novels tend to have multiple paths in which the story can go while the sound novel I've been reading only follows a single path outside of the last one in the series. Anyway, I'm rambling. This is not interesting. >_<

Yeah, the FF series has its own fighting game series on psp so it's not that odd and I of course will be getting the game since it's being made by the same people who made Blazblue.
I liked P3 but easily liked P4 better. Just to let you know there are a few more gameplay options in 4 and the story was better in 4 I think though P3 had some good boss music. I'm a sucker for RPG music, a staple sign of a dork I think. D:

First off, they look like fucking wolves, I LOVE wolves, they have BRIGHT BLUE EYES, and....they're just full of badass. 1 major problem though, it's a little too hot here for a dog with that kind of coat, still, i've seen people with that dog before around here so it's definitely doable. If I couldn't get a husky then i'd settle for a Daschund, aka, the weenie dog. Why? B/c they're adorable, that's why. :3

Well... It's called Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It's part of the When They Cry series, though I tend to fangirl over Umineko a lot. Granted, not so much since the series is over and I haven't exactly read the last one.

The story seems like a standard RPG story and the characters are starting to annoy me, and I'm getting tired of calling everything that happens. So I think I'll take a break from the game for a bit. I don't have friends, so people wouldn't be coming into my room a whole lot anyway unless we're related. So I wouldn't be judged for having stuff like that in my room anyway.

OMG, yes! Huskies are so fucking beautiful, and entertaining at that. I want one myself, but I'll have to wait until I get my own place. I also want a Shiba Inu which are like, problem children, but I really like them. Yes, daschunds are so fucking adorable. The way they run and roll over is freaking funny and cute.

I have always done fine in the back, up front I become a bit too nervous so I think it would actually impede my work.
Can't stand clam theme either, maybe it's my love of rock but I just need fast paced songs sometimes. Yes, the ice levels in DK games are hard, often having huge chasms to jump, the first game had ice levels that had random blizzards so it would be hard to see. The 2nd game had ice that made you slide all over the place which of course meant putting spiked bees at like every major jump so you had to jump but make sure you didn't slide off the edge or into a bee. The 3rd game's ice levels weren't as bad but the big jumps were back along with some annoying penguin enemies. D:
7 for some reason. It really did open my eyes RPG wise with its contents. I know people call it overrated now but I still like it though it was the grimmest game with a rather depressing atmosphere. The rest were good with 8 and 9 being my other favorites in the series, 10 just sucks.

Yeah, the anime has worked a bit since they have the main character talk of course but his blank reactions like in the game have provided a bit of comedy so a play sounds like it would be hard to pull off. @__@

The story takes place on an island, you see? I could talk about the series forever, but I don't want to bore you with it. I'll just say that the title is essentially, When the Seagulls Cry, and in terms of the story, when you hear the Seagulls, that typically means that everyone is dead.

Yeah, unfortunately, you are right on the money. School is going to be a real pain this quarter. But, I did manage to play a little. And by a little, I mean a bit of the tutorial. Why don't more fighting games have actual tutorials like that?
Anyway, how much have you played by this point? How're you liking it?
XD Sometimes a lot and sometimes, what feels like nothing at all. For instance, in General Education classes, we sit and listen to the teacher lecture for four whole hours, or we listen to the lecture, then work on some assignments, and then watch a movie. In art classes, though, we will put our projects up at the front of the class, and as a class, critique each other, then go on to a lecture, then get to work on the next assignment. Though, lately in my animation classes, we just use the entire four hours as studio time and the instructor is just there if we need him. :/
Yeah, we get breaks too. XD Sitting for four solid hours would be torture, though not impossible. After about an hour and a half, we get a twenty minute break, though some instructors give us a full half hour. Then, when we get back, after about another hour or so, we get a ten minute. Our last break is is ten minutes before class ends. We actually used to just end classes at like 0:50 marks rather than 0:00, but after we go accredited, we have to go to the full 0:00.

Beat everyone's story and am working on beating arcade mode with everyone to get their alternate colors.

The art, the music, the gameplay, i've played for hours already without ever going online. Lots of time spent in training mode and it actually feels like i'm improving which is an awesome feeling.

Poorly executed. Some characters are like, completely unneeded, seriously. 2 of some could have been cut from the game and it wouldn't have made much of an impact. Plus lots of talking, how the hell am I suppose to remember some dude's name like 30 hours later on in the game when he didn't have that much of an impact on the player? I seriously stopped playing at some point, went back into it months later and beat it for the sake of beating whilst forgetting everything that had gone on before. =/

I haven't played much. I've been jumping in and out of training and tutorial, and I've beaten the arcade mode three times with Ms. Fortune and Peacock. I've tried playing story mode with Fillia, but not only do I not really enjoy Fillia, I also only made it up to Ms. Fortune before I gave up. She whooped my ass seven consecutive times, and by that point, my digits needed a rest. XD I'll be going back to the game soon though, when I have less on my mind, but overall I'm enjoying it, and that says a lot for a fighting game, especially one where I'm more awful than normal.

YES, I DID. I'm a glutton for punishment. I mean, I enjoy the series, despite how much it scared me at first. It's only the first three arcs that anyone would consider even remotely disturbing (particularly, the second arc is grotesque). Call me girlie if you want, but as the story progresses, you start to see that it's actually a Romance disguised as a Murder/Mystery. Plus, I enjoy mysteries that challenge the audience and this one really challenges you.

Plus I just couldn't stop at losing at one lesson. The hardest for me were the blocking mix ups and getting Filia's combos at the end. I think after playing Blazblue's tutorials I was ready for these so it helps that I came into this game right after playing another fighter.

Yeah, i'm as casual a fan as can be when it comes to fighters but this is just really damn fun.
The hardest part of story mode for me was playing with characters that I know I wouldn't play as so I knew I wouldn't be good with them which made the matches tougher. @__@
Also, it's pretty much been confirmed that Fortune's AI is the most aggressive in the game and I dread fighting her the most. D:

I'm pretty sure that if I had used some other team, I never would have beaten Marie at the end of arcade. Though, I'm still having issues getting Ms. Fortune's head back on after it gets knock off. I did notice that when I added Valentine to the mix, I did worse. XD

In my case, I tend to disregard anything that may be wrong with me and just convince myself that I'm just being dramatic and tell myself to man up. I don't blame you for feeling that way. When it comes to horror adaptations, manga-ka really like to go all out with the art and make it as freaky as they can. I tend to laugh at those more than get freaked out at them. For me, what makes a person's death more terrifying is the sound accompanying the death rather than the visuals. So while I may read a manga where a character is stabbing herself in the neck repeatedly, I'll just stare at the art for a second before I turn the page. But if I hear the sound accompanying said character killing herself, I'm like, "Eeeeeeww! Stop it already you little freak!"

Well, when I was younger, it was mostly due to me being accident prone and clumsy. Now, I can't really say for sure what it is, but it's been a lot of different things and a few of the issues are recurring. I was just sent to get some blood work done on Friday and the results will be sent to my doctor. I guess eventually we'll find out just what's wrong with me. My team is worked rather well I think, I need to practice with Valentine a lot more but last time I played I had a team of Cerebella and Painwheel for arcade mode to get Painwheel's alternate color and I beat nearly every team with just Cerebella with only a bit of tagging out done. When I get better with Valentine I think i'll do better but yeah, still so much to learn. @____@
I'm still deciding for Cerebella since my favorite color got removed from the final game. :C

Also, if you're looking for tips, it's not a bad idea to look up some professionals playing the game. Yeah you'll see things that make you think oh I will never be able to pull that off but you'll get a far better idea of what your character is capable of and when their attacks work best.

A bit yeah, like in Japan, from what i've read they go to school longer, 6 days of the week and are at school longer, learn harder shit than we do earlier, think Algebra when you're like in 5th grade or so. I've been watching the voice actresses take each other on on Youtube (these women are hilarious, by the way, especially Sarah and Erin) and Laura plays Valentine with that palette. You know, it probably was. The place had been through a fire before I was even born, so it was very decrepit in a lot of places and falling apart. Plus, I heard after we moved out here, it'd gone through another fire. I do believe it is somehow still standing though. Also, people have died and had heart attacks right on our lawn. Also some other unpleasantness... As a kid, that's kind of freaky.

Speaking of pizza pie, there's this pizza I saw on Travel Channel that I totally want to try that is literally a pizza pie. Like, it's a deep dish pizza baked in this really deep pan. They put in the outter crust, then throw in the toppings and cheese, then they put more dough on top of all that and on top of that crust, they lay on the sauce and more cheese then put in the oven. OMG, it looked so damn good but I forgot what state you can find it in. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the mid-west.

Well in the grand scheme of things i'm going for a sociology major but at the moment just taking a bunch of garbage to be able to transfer in the first place. I have taken nearly all the sociology/psychology/and social psychology classes that I can so I don't need to take them again at a cal state but still, the requirements to transfer suck.

I'm also playing on sleepwalk...or I was but I recently bumped it up to easy which yeah, isn't really the case. So far i've been doing well enough, in order to get a lot of practice i've bumped the rounds to 7 so it's best 4 out of 7 so as you can imagine fights take a while. I have done somewhat well, nearly winning all my matches without a single round lost...unless it's double or ms. fortune. Seriously, holy shit, double wasn't that bad on sleepwalk, occasionally a problem yeah but ms. fortune was worse, on easy, double is HORRENDOUS. She likes to use the same fucking move every damn time she has at least one meter, transform to Parasoul, shoot me, which honestly, WTF, I know her form of parsoul can shoot in 3 different directions but she gets me every time with that damn shot, and as soon, like the second the shot hits me, BOOM, car super and i'm fucked. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. She once had 3 bars, she did 3 times in a row. >__>
Shot me, super, combos me right after super since she starts right next to you after it ends, shoots me at the end of combo, car super, new combo, shoots me, car super. I take much joy when I kill her with Cerebella. >__>
So yeah, don't feel bad about your difficulty setting, this game is not casual friendly but as you get better and you will if you put in the time it just gets more fun when the once unstoppable computer becomes your plaything. :3
Yeah, i've been to a bunch of tumblrs and check DA for new skullgirls art since some of the people who worked on it are still posting some work.
Aww, that sucks, then again I never have met someone at my college who plays video games so the odds of finding someone playing the same game as you or at least as excited about the same game aren't super high where I go to school.

Funny thing, the last match before I faced Marie on my first trip through easy was a double/ms. fortune team which as you can imagine, made me rage. Oddly enough, Marie was about the same difficulty as she was on sleepwalk.
Fighting her as peacock wasn't too bad mainly since a lot of peacock's items can hit no matter where she is and from afar whereas other girls need to get up close which isn't easy.
I still need to buy the OST, going to do that soon I hope. >.<

Definitely too soon, i'm still very much training with cerebella, trying to build up my muscle memory so I can pull off moves easily without hesitation. I am playing more Valentine at the moment too though, so every one of my arcade playthroughs has been that team to build up the synergy. When the move list gets patched in it will definitely help.
So far i've been sticking with the Cerebunny pallet for Cerebella but it may change. Yeah, I watched those videos too, all 26 of them, they were very awesome. My favorites were Erin vs Laura but yes, Sarah's voice was fucking awesome, it's like they barely needed to add anything to make it peacock's cyberish voice. I've never actually seen that either, a voice actor playing the game they've done work for so it was a entertaining watch for me.

But yes, your art is awesome, even the stuff you may not think so looking back on it, it is awesome since every piece of art you do becomes a part of your history. In the end you'll have one long history book of the art you've done and you'll see just how much you've improved. Think of it this way, every piece of art you make puts you one step closer to getting better and better.

That's kind of sad, but I guess it can't be helped. Oh, last week, they were playing it in the student lounge. I didn't join in because I wasn't particularly acquainted with the guys who were playing, plus they had brought their PS3 from home, but it was nice to find someone else who had actually played the game. Before, the only other person who was enthusiastic about it was my friend I had mentioned before, and she's only enthusiastic about it because I am (as well as another friend of hers), but I doubt she's played it yet.
Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Don't worry though, it takes a lot for me to hate a character (most of the time). I tend to look for redemptive traits in characters before I judge whether or not they're really unlikable for me. I don't think Cerebella will have that problem though.

Ah, I can understand that. I do it sometimes too, but very rarely. If I manage to beat a game once, I don't typically do it a second time unless I'm after achievements, the game will go differently the second time around, or I really love the game.

It's a depressing thought, but then I like to think that the point of living is to actually go out and find a point to living. It makes me feel better for a bit, I guess, though not long enough. Also, I almost drowned once myself. I never tell anyone because it's embarrassing, but to this day, I still can't swim.

Depressing reason but I wanted to know why people act the way they do. Why they can make fun of others and get so much enjoyment out of it. Why they can treat others like garbage with little to no thought as to how their actions affect that person. Why they can harm others and feel no shred of remorse. Why they enjoy targeting people whom they know are quiet, shy, or otherwise no threat and don't do anything to others while leaving those who actively make those people's lives hell alone not to mention think that they're "cool." Basically trying to find some reason as to why I shouldn't just give up on humanity b/c i'm really fucking sick of it to be honest. For every one nice, decent person i've met, i've met 10 others who were just worthless assholes.

Finally got the OST yesterday and yeah, both the game and OST have sold well.
Yeah, plan on playing a bit tomorrow and those guys have also had years of fighting game experience so take that into account too.

Also, the PC version is said to have stuff that the console versions will get in a patch, including tweaked single player AI so easier fights in arcade/story mode is a possibility. xP

Yeah, Mike Z has mentioned that the game has sold enough to make DLC profitable and a PC version would only make them more money so hopefully with even more money we can get more DLC after the first character since they have LOTS of DLC plans.
Yeah, the PC version will have the first patch that the consoles games will be getting probably sometime in the summer so you'll be able to use it in the console version first. I'm not the specifics but yeah, i'd need to get a stronger comp if I want to play the game on PC. =/

Not really, Dead Space is about 20 hours or so, less if you know where you're going. It was just really fun to play and there was some extra stuff to unlock. Plus I actually played the game's Hardcore mode, the hardest difficulty where enemies can kill you in a few hits, you do less damage and to top it all off, you can only save 3 times the entire game. Playing a game where death can literally make you lose hours of work makes for an adrenaline rush and frayed nerves. xD
I restarted Persona 4 but another game kind of caught my attention soon after. Yeah, the really long RPGs are just unplayable again sometimes since I just need to play something else.
Sad the stories can be that predictable but maybe future games will finally change that.

Exactly. In my case, I can get really into a game for a few hours and fall out of it immediately after. Half the time, I don't even finish the game. Hell, the last game I finished was El Shaddai, and the game even tells you it can beaten in 7 hours. Me? About four or five months. >_<

Will get back into it but at the moment Mike Z is testing a new patch that will pretty much change gameplay in a big way, some characters will have their moves changed somewhat like either be quicker, slower, doing less damage, with others getting loops of theirs removed, not to mention possibly increasing the game's speed 3%. I want to start playing again but if the patch is going to change stuff I kind of want to wait for it though it may likely come out around the end of summer from what i've read.

I rented it on the 360 a long time ago and despite the lack of story, I found myself liking it enough to actually buy it fairly recently. I haven't really opened my copy yet, but I am looking forward to the second one. That's like, one of my only anticipated games this year. That was such a horrid day, seriously. It was like, a Tuesday or Wednesday I think. I was in my chair for HOURS straight, typing, looking up info, putting it in my own words, deleting mistakes, making sure things fit properly. I was so worried about that damn assignment that we had ALL SEMESTER TO DO but of course I waited. I was actually one of the few people who actually turned it in fully complete too, I heard a few there wasn't enough time and can I turn it in complete. @__@
Ah, I don't do that, once I make a choice I stick with it but i'm kicking myself the rest of the day wondering what if I had made a different choice? @__________@

That's the plan, they recently said that they were getting ready to submit the patch for certification which usually takes about 2 weeks. If they release it this week or next week we may see it by the end of July. They also said DLC colors will be available about a week after the patch hits. They're also including 3 new colors for each character for free with the patch as a way to say thanks for fans being patient. Nope, still no word on who the DLC character is but we may find out at EVO this week. Last year at EVO they went into detail regarding Parasoul and the biggest fighting game event would surely be a good place to get attention for your game like coming in the form of a character announcement for example.
Ha, we didn't trade guns all that much but it really was fun playing with someone, which made me feel a bit bad for my game on the ps3 since I was all awesome with uber guns yet I never played with anyone. xD
Borderlands 2, Darksiders 2, Persona 4: Arena are the immediate ones that come to mind. There are a few others but those 3 are the biggest since Bioshock Infinite got delayed. >__>
Well the oldest ones were old school platformers with the more recent 2D ones on the DS being more exploratory. They're easier and offer a good deal more content than the older style games.
I used mainly Ibuki and Guy in street fighter 4, just love the quick attacks so Valentine was a quick fit.
Hmm, I suppose it's more her moves, the Devil Horns especially and that Battletoads ram attack of her's. I don't know, when the game was first announced she was the one I liked more between her and Filia. Then the gameplay of her came out and I was like she looks fun...wait...a grappler that can move? That's Interesting...
I've always avoided grapplers b/c they're always too slow hence why I gravitated toward speedier characters. Her early colors were cool too and I suppose that early attachment toward the character never left.
The rest of the cast got announced and i'd be like oh cool....i'm still picking Cerebella and then...Valentine gets announced and I just read NINJA and was like, I'M IN. xP
Oh, and her voice is cool. :3

We've stopped playing the game since the next update is supposed to hit soon adding pistons and shears, nowhere near the giant adventure update though so hopefully interest in the game will stay until they release that update. Pretty much. I avoid the gimmicky characters, the overly slow characters and the way too speedy characters since they tend to be a bit weak. I pick the ones in between, fast but not too weak, strong but not too slow.
I really don't have a problem fighting Cerebella, I usually use my own Bella to take her out. Double, Fortune, and Peacock in that order are the most difficult for me. Double b/c of that wretched gun to super that she ALWAYS DOES, Fortune for those combos and Peacock for that spam everything shit. xD

Honestly, I wish it would get updated sooner. Me and my brother want to keep playing but it's like the knowledge that the game will get better with the newer title updates makes the desire to play small. Really? The updates won't change the game play that much. Hell, I'm still waiting on some of the newer updates to the PC version. Sure, I could play those updates with snapshots, but I don't use the snapshots. I'm trying to get over that because all it's doing is making me unhappy, and I'd like to try happiness out. So yeah, they're projecting the patch should be out in around 2 weeks since they've pretty much just put it into certification. Huge list of changes and they've announced that a week after the patch they'll sell DLC colors for each character. 4 colors for a dollar which for me, if my blue Bella is part of her pack, i'll buy that in a heartbeat.

I think it was something about Skeletons having their arrows changed or something. I hate those things so hopefully any changes won't make them anymore annoying.

Well the game will have dlc colors but the patch includes 3 new colors for free. There's also been another mention of story DLC so here's hoping they do get to do that.

Same here. I haven't played any of my consoles in a while. I just played my 360 yesterday so I could install the Mincraft patch and the skins. I feel like I paid two dollars for one skin though. Oh well, the points were already there and I had nothing better to spend them on.

They've been as expected. One is a team production class, so all we do is work. The other is a portfolio class, and we haven't gotten to actually working yet but that's all it's gonna be. My issue is that my portfolio is pretty whack and stepping up my game is harder when inspiration and originality are what I'm lacking at the moment. I'm also lacking drive here.

Yeah, they did. It was originally for the PC but there's a 360 version you can import. Granted, I dunno if it'll work on an American XBox. I've been tempted to get it and find out but that would be like $80. O_O

Personally its a 2 player game, sure it doesnt have many 1 player modes offline, but I feel that thats ok because its made for 2 people. I love character creation (i have like 39 made o.o). Story mode is like 20 chapters so its kinda short. Its not too bad. Yea each character doesnt have an ending in arcade mode, that made me a little sad but not sad enough to not buy it. Overall I really enjoy the game and my other friend is obsessing over the game. Id give it a shot.
