Here's one of Dr. Vivian Penn Umbra's Robot Masters, folks! It's Step Man, a Betobeto-san-themed Robot Master who uses experimental cloaking technology to follow people (as well as robots) and spook them for fun. He's not malicious, though his expression and the way he speaks DOES tend to creep them out (except his creator).

As for his weapon, the Ghostly Step, it summons a ghostly sandaled foot that stomps on enemies only if the user is facing away from them. Kudos to for both the idea of Step Man himself and his weapon.

Also, regarding his basis, Betobeto-san is said to be a formless specter that follows people at night and is said to make a "beto beto" sound (wooden sandals clacking on the ground) while walking behind them without being seen. However, if you step to one side and say something like "Go ahead, Betobeto-san", then it'll walk by you and leave you alone.

STEP MAN
(Weapon: Ghostly Step)

Based on the yokai Betobeto-san, Step Man was created with experimental cloaking technology that allows him to become invisible for a few minutes before reappearing. When he's in battle, not onky can he have his orbs detach from his body and chase after his foes while biting at them before he calls them back, but he can also summon an energy construct of a large ghostly sandaled foot and have it come crashing down on them from above. However, the latter only works when his foes are facing away from him.

Despite his eerie appearance, Step Man is a friendly individual who doesn't really mean any sort of malice towards anyone he meets. In fact, he prefers to just mess with their heads by following behind them while using his cloaking technology to remain hidden from their sight and loves witnessing their spooked reactions... unless they happen to be either super-observant of their surroundings or have technology that lets them detect invisible robots.

"Don't mind me... I'll just follow behind you. Hyoooo-hoohoohoo!"
