(Just the art for now, the fic is still in process)I can't thank Becky Sloan enough for sharing, among all, a heartwarming photo of Frank cradling a baby in his paws. www.instagram.com/p/BiRC3wiHk7… Hope it shatters the last remnants of fear "The Puppets" might've caused for anyone and warms your heart like it did mine. ☺️
But while I did like the idea of Frank caring of a baby (read: fully revealing his soft toy nature and a big heart), it wouldn't be human, given the Imaginationland setting. So I took a glimpse of an idea from a while ago (Frank meeting a shooting star girl, instead of the Vase) and thus, the baby ended up becoming a comet, whom he accidentally caught during a star rain and named Lisa.✨
In reality, however, the little comet is not actually an Imaginationlander. She was (prematurely) born in Elmore, to Nicole's friends Lenny (an asteroid) and Helen (a star), and had to stay in the hospital with her mom until both are fully well. The love and care she gets in the Imaginationland while "stuck between two worlds" help her get well, and later, on a visit to the Wattersons, she does recognise the puppets, even in their small toy form. 🙂
Hope I did get the whole "Lisa Frank-y" look right... 😉
