Pokedex Entry:
Babbola grow to become skilled climbers, starting with clambering over the adults nearby and getting stuck in trees. When living with their parents, they hide behind them in the burrows their parents dug for their infants. They are not very fast, try to curl up and cling instead, causing consternation in opponents as Babbola uses absorb to heal itself.
The Babbola will also put on a cute display if alarmed but not attacked, with the intention to cause confusion or drowsiness. Sometimes doctors keep Babbola to yawn at sleep study patients who struggle to fall asleep at the doctor's office.
Babbola is covered is soft fuzz. Under a microscope, algae was found to give the fur its green color. Babbola is dependent on care givers until it is close to evolution. It has a tendency to cling to its parents or people who pick it up. If Babbola falls from a tree, it may still be clutching a broken branch which it uses to explore its surroundings via poking.
The ears on Babbola's head are actually a bony crest covered in soft fur. Owners need to be careful when cuddling with Babbola so they do not get knocked in the head.
-
Rappler hides in dark forests and shun the sunlight. They climb skillfully and drop down on unsuspecting victims.
As they range away from their parents, their fur starts to clump and often contain sharp twigs and stones. They still curl up when startled, letting the junk in their coats damage opponents. They can shake loose some of this debris when running to create caltrops of sorts in their trail.
They target sources of fire preferentially to try and stop danger to their homes. Tamed Rapplers are coveted by Rangers for their keen sense of smell and excellent night vision.
The false ears on Rappler's head have partially merged, shedding the layer of fuzz and beginning to accumulate minerals to make it stronger. When provided the correct diet, Rapplers may create gemstones on their crest which drop when they become too large.
-
Olemorn groom each other and are very social while raising offspring. Their long coats insulate their bodies and clinging offspring from the chill of winter. As they still seek out fires, it is not uncommon for their coats to be patchy on their legs and paws. They depend on a layer of fat to insulate them as their coats grow back out. If Rangers evolve their Rapplers, they must carefully shear the dangerous metal mane of their Olemorn. This allows the Rangers to ride their Olemorn and sell the metal strands for income.
Olemorn eat soil and rotting wood as a regular part of their diets, creating burrows while filtering out metals and crystals which grow out a shining dinosaurian crest and horns on their heads and sharp metal claws.
Olemorn nurture the land around them, breaking down organic things, taking contaminants into their own bodies and separating them. This forms their metal claws, teeth, crest, and mane. It is thought that biproducts of this process include iron balls, toxic orbs, flame orbs, gold nuggets, and even just balls of fine clay and crystals.
If something threatens their offspring, they push the young into their burrows then crawl backwards into the tunnel; facing outwards. Their metal faces, strong jaws, and leeching horns present a difficult obstacle to surpass.
It is thought that Olemorn may have different metals forming their mane, crest, and claws depending on the environment. (Feel free to choose other metals and highlighting colors for these parts. The 'eye' shapes on the crest can vary in appearance.)
Evolution Line: Babbola evolves at level 21, Rappler evolves at level 38.
