Sephiroth is surprised by the shocking delicacy that the wild Stryx, Blizzard , displays as it settles down next to the shell-shocked Kirin . He thinks it may be safe to approach and shelter together, judging by the gentle behavior that the black and white hawk displays to the prey animal.
As the day wanes and the ever present cold starts sliding its icy claws deeper into his feathers, he chooses to slowly settle on the other side of the fragile scaled deer and hope the wild Stryx will not mind him getting closer as the night unfurls its deadly winter wings.
Game Text: " Option 2.1.2.1 You back off and side-step slowly to clear the way, allowing Blizzard his chance to take down the Kirin. But instead of attacking, he steps right over you and approaches the Kirin with a bobbing head and a soft trill in his throat. This Hawk seems to want to protect the Kirin, and he gives it several nudges with his beak to snap it out of its own fear. However, the rare prey animal just won't budge, and as the storm only seems to be getting worse, Blizzard lays down beside it to provide himself as an extra barrier from the wind. Rather than strike out on your own again and risk coming across another predator, you decide to join the wild Hawk, and lie down at the other side of the Kirin so it will be protected from all sides."
