shot during the 3 weeks of me wanting to collaborate with others and come up with really interesting potraits. this is R.S. i met him in advertising, he was the assistant director and i was the art director for a really long and tiring project. first vibes i got from him were powerful and electric. he's an awesome and hillarious guy. i was telling him for almost a year that i wanted to take a potrait of him. well here it is.the acting director finally got directions on how to act
this is for RS. this is how i see you.

this one? hmm well i was already thinking of this pose for RS before he came to the studio. i told my makeup artist to make him look very dark, and i told him to bring dark clothes. there's a really big black glossy plasticy board in the studio. i propped it up on a table 3 feet high, made him pose on top of it so that i could get a strong reflection and hard red gradients in the background

Oh, 'interesting' is definately the word...
But in my opinion it really just looks like they dyed their hair and it grew out and were too lazy to dye it again =/

The converging diagonals and reflections add to the energy, as does the line of his hand, the cross and his eyes(!) and hightlighted hair.

I think this is really great. The colours in his jacket and the colours in the background really matches. The look on his face is like you say electric! if this guy is the way you describe him, you have really manage to take a great portrait!!

thanks sweetie, yeah he's very electric, he's a lot of fun to be around. perfect for his job.. assistant directors always need to be energetic to make sure the models know what they're doing.
