Description
This is TF Round Robin, a series of Transformation Sequences where some popular (and some obscure) characters get shuffled around and find themselves in someone else's shoes. In Round Two(n), we see cartoony characters become more realistic ones and visa-versa.

This had to be the strangest tomb that Lara Croft had ever raided. The iconography wasn’t Egyptian, Mayan, Roman, Atlantean or any culture she was familiar with. There were a lot of designs featuring flowers, stars and most of all, mushrooms decorating the place.

“Perhaps it was a society that worshiped nature and the skies above”, she wondered.

The smell of mould lay heavy in the air and the brickwork looked like it had not been disturbed in many years but the style of the bricks themselves was oddly modern. Soon she came upon what appeared to be the centrepiece of the underground structure: a massive green structure with a deep hole in the middle, like a big pipe to nowhere. As Lara got closer to investigate she saw a strange mushroom balancing on the edge. It wasn’t growing from the pipe and it didn’t seem to have any roots, it was definitely placed there on purpose. Lara picked up the strange fungus and examined it. It had a bulbous pink cap with white spots and a thick stem with two black marks on it that made it look like it had a face. Suddenly, Lara felt the opening of the pipe draw her in and before she could react, she was tumbling down into the abyss! Before the light faded, she heard a noise.
*bwarp-bwarp-bwarp*

When the light returned Lara was standing in the middle of some hilly grasslands but quickly realised that there was something… off about this place. The hills were perfectly dome shaped, the grass was all patterned and bricks floated in the air. Lara took a good look at the mysterious fungus, wondering if she had absorbed its hallucinogens through her skin but at that moment, the Mushroom sprayed her with a cloud of spores. And that’s when the changes began.

Lara Croft’s body began to shrink as her braided ponytail was coated in pink fungus and started to swell. Lara tried to pull away from the spore cloud but she could no longer touch the ground as her long legs shrank into her body. Gloves, holsters and socks all faded away into the spore cloud and were reformed into a bright red neckerchief and a big headlamp.

Her light blue tank top morphed into an explorer’s shirtdress that was half way between pink and khaki and her shorts morphed into baggy pants of the same color that fit her new smaller frame. The fungus kept growing over her hair until it met with the floating mushroom that caused this all in the first place, becoming a second mushroom pigtail.

All while this was happening, Lara’s mind was growing as cloudy as the spore filled air she was breathing. She couldn’t remember what she was doing, where she was or even who she was. She mentally clawed about for something that made sense until she finally latched on to something that felt right, exploring. Yes, that’s what she was doing! And with that anchor the rest all came so easily! She was exploring the outer reaches of the Mushroom Kingdom because it was her job as Head Archivist Toadette to know all about the history of the land. With that revelation, the spore cloud finally cleared. With her feet on the ground and her head clear, Toadette set off on her way with a joyous shout:

“Time for adventure!”
