Description
Ray Manta was the alias of an artist based in the LA area. As a method of creative funding, he sometimes rented out his home as a setting for "adult" videos, and during the filming of some Loretta Sterling classics, he met the actress/model Teighlor. Her extraordinary 600-plus-pound body inspired him to invite her to stay for a photo session, and she agreed. The contact sheets Manta gave her are probably the only remaining record of that shoot, as Teighlor was told that most of the artist's work was destroyed after his untimely death.

These are some attempts of mine to extract images from those contact sheets, using primitive '90s photo-editing software. Some are more successful than others: extremes of light and shadow in the prints made some parts of the scans too dark to see and others completely washed out. I made the best compromises I could. (Working with prints of this size, editing out specks of dust becomes a time-consuming project, too.) With the right tech I could go bigger and better today, if anyone wants to fund that project.
