Alright so, I decided to read AdmiralDT8's fanfiction and wow, just wow. For someone who graduated from college, you'd think they'd be able to write better. You're supposed to create a new paragraph whenever the story switches to a new speaker, I thought everyone knew that. He also has like, 6 words to describe talking, I'm not joking. He uses "said" as his main one too. Not to mention everything seems very wordy and over explained. He put something like "...was sitting at the table, eager to eat what his uncle was cooking." When "...sat eagerly waiting to eat," would've been fine.
