Awesome photo Ive only seen these guys once


When I was in Logan's pass at glacier national park I met this ranger who told us a crazy story about the purple finch. A guy who lived at very far from the park took a taxi all the way up their to see and photographs the purple finch but he was too early Only by two weeks though.

thats kinsa sad, you don't really get to see their colors because they kinda blend in...but when you focus you really can see the true colors.

i'm not lying to you, i almost thought this was a grey one at first!

This picture reminds me of a story my dad once told me;

One time when he was a kid, he looked at and saw a bird sitting on a branch. The next day, after a blizzard blew through, he looked out and saw the bird frozen... >.>

I think its an ADVANTAGE! it turned out beautifully! the white and hazy color theme not only brings out the bird, but also gives it a cold/icy winter-feel.
