This is when I was on my trip in the Galapagos with my family (aunts, uncles, parents, brother, cousins, and grandma who paid for everything...) Apparently when you cross the equator for the first time by boat (I was on a cruise) you become what they call a 'shellback'. It was really fun. I'm in the green shirt and the awesome safari hat...Lets just say it wasn't a luxury cruise!Related content

I'm a Shellback also- and they come in two sorts: Soft shells are the newly ordained denizens who crossed the Equator and haven't initiated others, the Hard Shells are those who already have and are initiating the "wogs" to become shellbacks.
