I was doing some doodles yesterday and (probably because I was tired) , kept drawing blanks. Then, an idea popped in my head to try a different character style all together, which is how I came to draw up a chibi version of Rose. I'm very pleased with how it turned out... enough to the point that I'm not inspired to add practice this style more often...
This is just a glimpse to what I'm working on at the moment. The fun part of course will be to break out the ink/color schemes.

Hm. After messing with the actual sketched version - I must admit that she looks even cuter with a slightly fatter face. But I'm not going to start from scratching reinking and stuff from the very beginning. I'm already too far ahead now.
p.s. please draw chibi stuff. (ya, I'm just repeating for emphasis).. or better yet, maybe we can collaborate!!!

Cute! The face seems a bit long though, for chibi style. Make it more fat and short? You always draw a really nice Rose.

True, if I was going for total perfection, that would be the way to go (re: fat and short). Chalked up as a learning experience.
I actually went through three versions before I reached a face that I was satisfied with. Besides, I sort of hate that the faces tend to be a bit too short when I really wanted Rose's face to look a tad older than the chibi specs call for.
You should try doing chibi stuff.

Ah, I understand. An older chibi sounds almost oxymoron-ic but I guess it's up to the artist. I think it works anyways.
My chibis... have no arms or legs. XD I dunno, chibis are a real problem for me...

Not sure, I guess the shortened proportions and lack of joints throws me for a loop.
