I talked with some old Danish folks who had been diving in these near-frozen waters. They said it was the polar opposite of diving in the Caribbean (pun intended.) Tons of gear is necessary, the sheets of ice cast crazy colors on the seafloor, the fish are different. I'm sad that I didn't have the certifications to dive here; maybe next trip.
