I had started this piece a while ago but didn't get a chance to finish what with the crazyness of christmas. Tonight was kinda feeling lonely what with Christmas coming and I sitting here alone in a quiet dark house...so I decided to finish this painting.This one goes out to everyone on this Christmas day, to all my friends and those that have inspired me with their work or wonderful words of encouragement, to anyone and everyone. It is a reminder to those that feel lonely that you are not alone. There is always someone there to walk beside you, even if just in spirit.

There are things I don't like as much about this one, but I'll tell you I'm always impressed with your use of light and "glowing" effects. The look in his eye, on his face and the misty curls floating about are just wonderful, eye catching work. Can't say I expect less of you, and won't that comment get old? *s*

So beautiful...*sniff* Man, just looking at it reminds me of Aslan..the book made me cry everytime I read it..I love Aslan. I know this isn't supposed to be him, but his face just has that beauty that Aslan should have...the noble yet sad expression, a big mane..fur that glows..argh. Amazing. I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm working on a collage type thing right now with photo manip and digital drawing in PS7, and wow. I have a ton of respect for what you did with this. I can do just about anything with a photo in PS7, but the drawing is beyond me. I'm still stuck in cartoon mode.

An absolutely stunning piece that I am sure any artist would be proud of. Congratulations on your skill and beautiful vision.
For some reason, the expression in those eyes reminds me of Aslan, from the new film, and the way his eyes were used to show the cares and emotions of God. I'm sure this is coincidental, but even so I'd say it just improves the piece even more.

10 hours on that fur?! If you used 1 pixel brushes and 2 pixel smudge tool like I did on a recent piece that's pretty damn fast! And why bother with critique discouraged? Do people really have anything bad to say about your work? I think it's as close to flawless as humanly possible. If you'd like to see my recent pic here's the link; it has mild adult content though, so you don't have to look if this offends you, but I'm wondering if we used the same technique on the fur. [link]
