Description Ja man, I was once really into a vampire show called Vampire Princess Miyu. At least the vampire isn't a male one.
DUnno what happened to the horizone here... kinda forgot earth is rounded and gave it a wavy shape. :3 ah well.
Also, HAPPY MOON FESTIVAL (there is half a moon, that count as festive right?)

Since you asked for critique, I'll give you one, haha.

I love the fact you made an effort with the background, firstly. Sure, it's a tiny bit sloppy and you could've put more detail on the foreground like rocks/soil/grass, but it's better than random stuff which you do most of the time.

The style is interesting, the sort of half-chibi, half-normal look - I think it works rather than looking weird. I like it.

Anatomy wise I can't see any glaring errors except the hands look a bit weird, especially the thumbs. Hold your own hands in front of you when you draw hands and just copy them. Easy! The back/ankle of the foot furthest away is sticking out too much, too. Other than that you're doing okay.

I like the shading - you're getting the hang of it! She doesn't look like she's actually in the scene you've painted behind her, though. Next step is planning the background in advance and doing the colours to fit. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Your lineart is clean and smooth as usual. Might want to consider varying the width a bit more, but for a simple chibi style it's not that important.

The fire magic stuff in her hand is a bit of a fail because you gave it lineart and it looks like it's a solid thing, like a red flower or something. What you want to be doing to get magic effect is using the Screen, Overlay and Luminosity layer settings in Sai. Make a new layer for the shiny thing and don't draw lineart for magic glows/fire, just paint it in as a colour, with airbrush and some brush/pen to give it definition, and then switch the layer mode until it looks good.

You could've cropped it better, her head is almost touching the top of the picture, which is kind of bad composition wise, though I guess you're not really worried about that at this point. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>

Good job!
