Adeline Young is a student of Egyptology in 2001 Cairo, Egypt. Raised by her much older cousin, a renowned archeologist and specialist of ancient Egyptian architecture, Adeline lives above the conservatory her much-absent cousin runs while she attends school. When an unassuming set of papyrus scrolls derived from an infamous and dangerous book and a foreboding sarcophagus make their way into their inventory, Adeline finds herself plunged into a world of danger and mysticism that puts her life at risk. Yet still, a dark and dangerous awakening begins in her that challenges everything she thought possible.... A man that shouldn't exist and yet becomes the very center of her life's pursuit.
