I wasn't sure whether to upload this, because it's not polished in the least. Just a quick WHOOOSH COLOUURRSS to get the idea down while it was still fresh in my head. But in the end I decided hey, at least it's not another plain, unshaded side-ref.

On Sekkai there are a few different sentient species, and this is the oldest of them. The Qih-nzak (or 'hybrids' because of their appearance) are a species of draconic humanoids with a great talent for magic. This is my fellow, Moxytaliphate, summoning an enormous fire-elemental to fight in the war we're currently having. He's the little red fellow at the end of the firey beast's tail. He might look eensy-weensy compared to firebeast, but in person he's a little over 7ft tall.

Summoning these elemental titans is no mean feat, even for a hybrid, and poor Moxy had to sacrifice his wings to achieve mastery in this talent. The firebeast is a modification of the old magic used to create another of the sentient races of Sekkai: the dragons. And even though the hybrids live for a bloody long time it's still been thousands of years since their most adept/powerful alchemists created the dragons, and so the knowledge of how to create a living being and the accompanying soul-bond has been forgotten. They're still trying their darndest to reinvent the technique though, and the elementals is as far as they've got.

It's made of living fire, since that's Moxy's element, and it's able to interact with its surroundings like sentient animal would. But even though its appearance and personality are unique, its thoughts are just a refraction of Moxy's and he's able to control its actions like a puppet.

While the dragons and their human riders function as two separate beings in a symbiotic relationship, the elemental is really just a mirror of its summoner's soul- kinda :v
