DD's are nothing more than a feature by some staff member who found something on dA and thought "This is great, I'll share it with everyone" pretty much like you would do in a journal feature. Of course not everyone on this page will agree that the piece in question is great, but if you don't, just move on

I don't think it was rude, and if the maker was offended by it, they could have just hidden it. Not every comment is going to be everything nice.
