The other day I spied an adorable little dragon peering down at me out of a blooming
fruit tree on the page of my sweet friend FeynaSkydancer . The work that inspired
this is also titled "Spring Dragon ." Her little dragon named, Raskal always has
such a mischievous gleam in his eyes. He reminds me half of naughty cat
about to pounce and half of an over-excited puppy leaping to swarm
its master with kisses. There is just something about that
little guy that always gives me a big smile.

I immediately began to pen furiously as the inspiration immediately flowed.
I showed the text to Feyna first in comment form. It has taken longer
to find the right stock art and do the manips. But then, I never
claimed to be a pro photomanipulator or digital artist.

But spring is the season of joyful new beginnings. Why wouldn't
all sorts of delightful creatures want to do their parts to
celebrate and welcome the season in? Enjoy! ^_^

!!UPDATE!!

I just discovered that the artist who created the adorable orange dragon
also has a DA account! So, if you like the illustration of this poem,
I highly recommend that you say hi (aka fav) the lil cutie
