The humans who were the populace in this realm were quite weak and fragile to stop him from taking what he wished from them, especially their fleshy horses.
He was perplexed, humiliated and angered at being captured by the female monster hunters known as Scathach. They wouldn't have had any chance to do anything more than scratching him, despite their fighting skills, but they were a mage and skilled enchantress.
With simple gestures and a simple archaic word, Bryn cast a spell that paralyzed the brute, which they tracked to the Thamha region, and Laga, her Amazon companion restrained him in ropes she had enchanted. The ladies celebrated the bounty they earned, and seemed curious of the virility they had heard bablacoun possessed, and he wondered if they only were toying with him before taking him to the gallows.
