From a technical standpoint this image is good. It is properly exposed with no blown highlights and the shadows lend good contrast to the scene. 
The image is quite soft, but it’s not the foreground or the background in particular which makes me think your tripod may have been unstable if one was used at all.

Composition is okay, it could’ve done with something of interest in the centre foreground though. The river does a nice job of leading the eye through the image toward the mountains in the background.

My only other criticism is the light. It would be well worthwhile photographing this when morning or evening light is hitting the peaks in the background, with perhaps some light on the clouds to add a little something extra.

The sun looks like it's catching the river's reflection quite nicely, although it is a little strong at some points. Playing with highlights/shadows can fix that. The boulder/rock at the bottom looks a little distracting, but overall the cropping looks decent. Good capture!
