I would fire him first, but make sure he has no good lawyer or else he'll walk away with half the house, that he'll make a fast sale on and dump all that money into thousands of rubber mice!! I know these cat types very well.

Same with my cat. First time he sees a rodent, he just watches it as my brother accidentally kills it by snapping its neck with the edge of a shoebox. He, and my other cats lie like that all the time and look at us as if WE'RE the weird ones.
