The actual sketches here are pretty terrible, but this is a warmup and concept work stop judging me

I think i want this "comic/story thing" to be structured similarly to the American childrens' book and television series "Arthur"(just with mostly slightly older characters and themes?) Where the entire community is developed and i might make a comic script that doesn't even have the main characters.
As I've been writing some side characters(and trying to make them unlikeable)i find myself falling in love with them. I don't want good or bad characters i want characters with lives and families and motivations.

Mitch: Coyote, Neutral. Cowardly, but big mouthed. His mother is divorced and is rather strict and protective, but loving of her son(who doesn't always appreciate her). A momma's boy. Dependant on other people for his confidence and character and will do anything for attention, negative or positive. He is best friends with Tom, who is one of the few people who genuinely likes him.

Tom: American badger, Neutral Good. Quiet but confident. Enjoys discipline and self-care. Very mature for his age. His parents were pretty distant, so he learned to care for himself and enjoy spending time alone

Jake: Siberian Tiger, Lawful Neutral. Very concerned with his reputation. He is kind, but often puts himself first. He works very hard at his schooling, but only for the extrinsic praise. He wants to make his parents proud. The School quarterback

Mr. Nowakowski: American Bully, Neutral Good. Recently divorced, under appreciated and overworked gym teacher. He has a soft spot for anyone who actually enjoys his class.
