Pretty. I love the whole thing! Your shading is soft and smooth, yet crisp and full of definition. I just lvoe all the details you gave her costume, including the pouch with the Haruno clan symbol on it. I am finding it harder to like Sakura after her current demotion to "damsel in distress" via Kishi, but I love her here. She looks so much more like her true self. I love the background too, how clean and clear that sky is and the way you have her looking up. The eyes are a nice hue of green and aren't too bright or too dark, they suit her wonderfully. Great job! *Trots off to gallery*

Really well drawn and coloured, I like the small details that make up her character (the haruno clan symbol on the pouch, the charm on her katana etc.). Although I always imagined the white/grey anbu vest to be like flexible kevlar vests rather than normal, loose-fitting clothing.
Do you mind telling a bit about your thoughts behind the work, or is there some background info behind it at all? Is she a missing nin (don't see a anbu mask or forehead protector) or something?

I like to try and pay attention to detail haha it's the little things and loose ends that tie a picture together~
I know that technically, the material for her vest would be kevlar (I even looked at Marines vests to give me thought), but I decided in my initial sketch, that the stiffness wouldn't give me the right effect for the end result I was hoping to achieve.
I didn't really have a straight out story behind this, more like an impression, like the thought behind a song (which incidently is what inspired this).
First know I'm a hopeless romantic, and a sucker for a tragedy~ 8D
But there's not much to tell about this, she's probably 21, 22; she's fought her battles, paid her dues, and tried to live a normal life. But somethings always missing. So, she makes the choice to follow her heart; to up sticks and try to be whole again. A year has passed and she's still missing.
The rest of the story is for you the viewer to decide~
