Description This is the intro to "Twilight Techno" by Dimrain47. I listened to the song and figured out the notation by listening and experimenting on my keyboard. It might not be correct, but it sure sounds accurate!

You can listen to the song here: [link]

It's an amazing work of music and you don't have to like techno to enjoy this song. It has nothing to do with Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight" series.

heh, no problem! Yeah, Dimrain47 is really good at techno. Way better than most techno out there. This is only my arrangement of the song and I'm not sure if it's correct though. I did find another version of the song online that seems to be closer to the actual song and easier to play if you would like a link to it.

ahahaha, him, Chronamut, Ethan_Ither (I believe that was his name), and EON are in my opinion the greatest techno artists ever extant on the planet. But yeah, the link would be great ☺ Many thanks again!~

Ah, I just checked out Midnight Seige, and I gotta say it's pretty cool! Thanks for that!

And if you wanna check out Daft Punk, I recommend listening to songs from their first two albums. Their third one is kinda bad compared to the first two...

I'm not sure how it would sound on the guit, but I'm curious...

I have listened to it and liked it.

As for playing it, I have an idea how I can play it on the guitar. With the chords on the bottom line. Just play with both hands on the fretboard.

Haha, it's one of my absolutely favorite techno songs! But man! It's really hard to tell what the notes are during those really fast runs, but otherwise I can kinda get the rest of the song down. I'm still trying to get used to the key change in the middle...

The key change kinda slows me down a bit too. Lol.

I'm just going at my own pace, or practicing with one hand, till I can play it smoothly, then I'll speed it up. c:

what about the fast 16th note runs? what do you do for those?

weeitsGabby In reply to basilisk113 [2009-09-13 22:17:10 +0000 UTC]

keep playing them over and over and ovveeerrr till my fingers get used to them.
lol.

I mean, are you able to hear what the notes are at that speed? or do you slow the song down? or what?

but yeah, that's what I'd do

Er, yeah.
I've always been like, a strong pianist and I bang on the keys.
Every note is really distinguishable.
The speed or which note it is doesn't deter the sound of the note for me.

But when I'm still learning something, I'll go slower and put emphasis on each individual note.

hmm, well I can kinda make out some of it... I guess if I put enough time and effort I can figure it out myself.

However, I was wondering. I am unsure about the 1st and 5th notes of the 7th measure. Idk whether they're both C, both Ab, or one of each. How do you play it?

weeitsGabby In reply to basilisk113 [2009-09-15 03:10:12 +0000 UTC]

Like, a detailed description of which finger hits which note? lol.

Thumb on C
And during the preceding high C, I slide my hand up and my middle finger goes on the Ab.

i was wondering if what I wrote out was exactly how you played it. I am unsure of the notation in the 7th measure on the right hand...

I'm terrible at like
composing a song.
Like, if I don't have the sheet music, I have NO HOPE of playing it. LOL.

basilisk113 In reply to weeitsGabby [2009-09-19 05:38:36 +0000 UTC]

composing and playing by ear are two different things, haha! Well I'll do my best to make the sheet music, but it's like, really hard!! It probably won't be EXACTLY like the song, but you could probably fool people if you play it fast and smoothly lol...

weeitsGabby In reply to basilisk113 [2009-09-19 06:15:06 +0000 UTC]

i don't think people are gonna recognize the song. LOL.

and it's not often i'm in front of a piano with my friends.

i'll be like,
"This is a song I found on DA. This really cool person transposed it and we had like a week-long conversation about playing it. lol."
and i usually play fast because i'm nervous.

GOGO MAKE THAT SHEET MUSIC.
I BELIEVE IN YOUUU.

ok, the key change should be easy to handle as far as transposing, for it's exactly the same as page 3, 4, and the intro, just one whole step higher... I'll work on it some more today
