Description                "You there, young sir!"
Charles stopped and turned to face the homeless man. "I've no change."
               "That much is obvious."
"What, old man, does it look to you like I'm poor or something? Go away and find a job, useless beggar."
"I daresay I haven't begged anything of you."
"Don't be a smart aleck, man." He turned to go.
               "You're bored."
               "What?"
"You heard me," the old man said smugly. "You're bored of snobbery and money and that useless wife of yours –"
"Listen, old man, you'd better learn to shut your trap."
"– but you're too awfully afraid to admit it."
"What makes you think that I'm in the least bored?"
"You said it. You've got no change."
               "What –"
"And you're still talking to me."
               "Listen –"
"And if you were enamoured with your wealth, you'd not complain of having no change and'd just be sitting there, bathing in coins in your mansion. If you were enamoured with your woman, you'd walk away from me knowing in your heart that your mutual love is truth."
