"hiccup...there's nothing left. it's all gone." rapunzel gasped as she and her friend slowly moved through the burned remains of what used to be their home. hiccup looked around, sad to see all of the trees were nothing but burnt out trunks."i know. we should head south. we can't be seen and now we don't have a sanctuary. we're out in the open and that's-" he broke off, his ear fins lifting.
rapunzel trotted up to his side. "what? what is it?" she whispered and hiccup put an arm out in front of her to stop her from going any further.
his hair suddenly stood on edge and he no longer felt safe.
"we need to go...we can't stay here." he said, his dragon tail lashing. "why? is something out there?" rapunzel asked, starting to back up.
hiccup looked out at the ash covered landscape. every instinct in his mind told him to run. something was out there. and it was coming.
hiccup's ear fins were still perked as he listened.
"hiccup..." rapunzel said.
hiccup's eyes then went wide. "run! rapunzel, run! right now!"
