This is a short animation I made to test the rig I'm building for Halfboy (modeled and textured by my good friend/collaborator Mike Reese ). The audio is from The Venture Brothers (the line is "Good news: the euthanasia will be carried out by me!"). The first shot is the complete render, the second shows polygon topology (they eyes are NURBS, so they don't show up), and the third shows the bones and controls. The rig is about 95% done - I still need to add a tongue, finesse the facial GUI, and add some dynamic bones to control wires which will be hanging from the bottom of his case. Mike is still working on the texture for his body (it's all basic materials for now). Any critique would be greatly appreciated. Created/rendered with Maya 2008. Halfboy is based on a concept by Christian Alzmann.
