Tetra found that her crew needed her, and pregnant or not, she was going to rejoin them, regardless.
Unfortunately, they were attacked by a small, but malicious crew, and Link rushed the reluctant Tetra below deck. By daybreak, Tetra had given birth to her daughter, but she and Link became curious about the commotion that continued on the deck of the ship.
They soon discovered that many of the opposing crew members began to worm their way below deck.
So they charged their way up and defended their ship. Needless to say, they succeeded, retuned to Outset Island, much to Grandma, Aryll, and Finn's relief, and introduced baby Shelli to the rest of her family.

To this day, Tetra reminds her crew that "I had just given birth, and I still ended up saving all your sorry butts!"
We can only hope that the pirates manned-up after that confrontation.
