Description
Here is the first finished test piece for my Tyranid Hormagaunts. I’m pleased at how it came out. This is my first real attempt at basing a model too. I’m fairly pleased at how that came out too. I could go a little more complex with the painting of the base, but this is, for all intents and purposes a test piece. I wanted to see how everything would look before I started going too in depth with the base. I basically used some railroad flock and some static grass. It was painted with Dheneb Stone and wash with a Sepia wash. Everything was glued down with some Elmer’s. I also watered down some Elmer’s and painted over the flock after I had it glued to make sure the flock stayed put.As for the model itself, I just used the instructions from How to Paint Citadel Miniatures. I found that book to be a great starting point for me, being a beginner and all. Let me know what you think in the Comments!
